Established in 1982, the mission of the Society for Health Care Risk Management of NJ (SHCRM-NJ) includes supporting both the New Jersey health care community and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) through education, advancement of patient safety initiatives, sharing risk management strategies and maximizing value across our local health care enterprises. 

The Purpose of the SHCRMNJ is to advance the professional practice and development of healthcare risk management throughout the state by:

  • Offering educational programs that highlight current issues and trends in legislation, case law, and the changing healthcare system.

 

  • Providing an open forum for the interchange of ideas, problem solving, and sharing innovative procedures and new risk management techniques.

 

  • Developing professional relationships among our members.

 

  • Supporting the risk management professional’s commitment to safety and quality care through risk reduction.

As a committee member, you’ll play a key role in promoting a robust organization that serves the needs of our members and the New Jersey Healthcare Risk Management community.
